I’m Ricky Lesser — a filmmaker and father of two based in the Los Angeles area, driven by a lifelong fascination with light, emotion, and the small moments that shape who we are.

In addition to Little Epics, I run a photography company that specializes in architectural and lifestyle photography. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating campaigns and films for brands like Red Bull, Nikon, Hilton, Bacardi, Fiji Airways, Samsung, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as creative studios and lifestyle brands such as KAA Design, HippyTree, Orangetheory, and The Surfer’s Journal. My work has always centered on human connection — the way presence, expression, and environment intertwine to tell a story.

Little Epics was born from that same impulse — to bridge my experience as a filmmaker with my role as a father. It’s a project about slowing down, about truly seeing our children as they are in this moment of wonder, curiosity, and change. Each film is both art and archive — an intimate portrait that captures the quiet, fleeting essence of childhood.

My approach is cinematic but deeply personal — rooted in observation, empathy, and the belief that the most powerful stories are often the simplest: a look, a laugh, a fleeting second of connection.
